Join us on Sunday, March 26, from 2 to 4pm, with special guest Patricia McConnell.
In this compelling talk, Patricia will cover recent scientific discoveries about the emotional lives of dogs, including whether they can love us as much as we love them, if they can be traumatized (or suffer from PTSD)?, and how to treat them if they do.
Patricia will also be sharing insights from her upcoming book The Education of Will: A Mutual Memoir of a Woman and Her Dog, in which the author describes a personal journey with her beloved Willie to turn a life of fear into one of confidence and compassion.
Patricia McConnell earned her Ph.D. in zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the author of The Other End of The Leash, For the Love of a Dog, and Tales of Two Species along with numerous booklets. She was a columnist for The Bark magazine and was regularly featured on Wisconsin public radio for more than a dozen years.
